This audiobook, voiced beautifully by a large cast is very good. Its story is told through the letters of an older woman through her later years and the correspondence and correspondents that mattered to her. It is moving, and honest in the depiction of human connections and disconnection. As the book progresses we come to understand the events and relationships of those in her orbit. Love and loss, of many varieties are explored in the novel. I felt as the book progressed that I was learning alongside Sybil what it means to account for one’s’ life and all the choices made along the way. It will likely stay with me for a very long time. Highly recommended, especially for people of a certain age that can relate on a deep level to the themes explored.
