MC’s journey to ensure protection from zealots’ religious persecution continues. An impossible task set as a prerequisite to join the outsider’s guild turned into a trap for the gullible. ‘Everybody Hates Tower Dungeons’ story continues to be told in a witty humorous manner.

Challenges inside the tower were scalable. Some simple to the outsiders, others complex. All, supposedly, being passable even to a level 1 individual. A welcome bit of balanced environment in a generally unbalanced world. First outsider being illiterate and not knowing how to use the system supposedly making outsiders more power compared to the new world’s natives was a great twist.

Another mystery introduced. What is the real story behind princess’s sleep spell? What does the eunuch’s clan know that has been kept a secret from general populace since collapse of the empire? Another mystery added to the pile hinted at in book 1.

Conclusion: 3/5. Listened on Audible bought for 1 credit. Narrated by: Phil Tron. While ‘Everybody Hates Tower Dungeons’ is a great standalone litrpg adventure book, it doesn’t add to the series. ‘Everybody Hates’ protagonists surroundings have so much unexplored, personal gripes are with events that were specifically highlighted in previous book are left unaddressed in consequent work. With both, book 1 & 2, being published in 2023 and no books since continuation of the series seems unlikely. Terrible value for the length of the book – 1.80 $/hour ( 22.80 $ / 12 hrs 40 mins ).
