Matt Dinniman is the GOAT. I blasted through this book. its easily one of the best versions if the genera of AI vs Humans. it genuinely builds in the questions generally posed in the genera. I loved every single second of it. every twist, every turn, the conclusions it comes to are thought provoking in the right ways. Thus is being added tk my “gets listened to at least once a year” list and thaf just now only contains three titles.

I genuinely feel this is even better than DCC in its own unique way! I can’t say what tgat say is because it would give HUGE spoilers.

I also love the parallels it draws to memories and smells. How when those memories are triggered you don’t want to let them go.

I’d love to see a follow up to this book that covers the aftermath of the conclusion. To be clear, it DOES NOT need one, I just liked the world so much I want a little more. Maybe a short story, no more than a couple of chapters, about life after Operation Bounce House.
