Every couple of chapters the book proudly slams the entire character sheet back in your face. Not a summary. Not a reminder. The full spreadsheet. Again. And again.
The characters themselves are paper-thin. The antagonists are the whiniest “strong” NPCs imaginable—lots of posturing, zero menace—and they die like freshly cut grass the moment the plot needs them gone.
The story logic is a mess, full of holes big enough to drive a mimic through, and any sense of tension evaporates almost immediately.
I kept reading out of stubbornness, not enjoyment. That was a mistake.
This isn’t clever LitRPG. It’s lazy padding wrapped in stats.
I’m done. This is a bad book.
