The author also tackles a lot of the myths about agriculture in the US and explains why agriculture has developed the way it has. It ends in 2006-7 so it doesn’t catch changes in the past 2 decades, but it is worth the investment in time and money to get you a strong base for building a knowledge about modern American agriculture.
