I just couldn’t finish. I think Wanda the librarian was the writer. Implausible scenarios, too many to list, and an absolute zero understanding of human nature. Less than a zero understanding tactical scenarios. Character development zero. I felt no relationship to any of the characters. I tried but just could not finish. The short parts with Kevin Pierce as the narrator were excellent as per his usual.

This was written by an author who has absolutely no understanding of human nature in harsh environments, zero tactical experience, zero weapons knowledge, zero medical knowledge, and zero understanding of what it takes to survive a life and death experience,

oh, his leg was hit with a high powered rifle round in the upper thigh, fractured femur but don’t worry, he is now up and walking around on it the next day with only a little soreness. Unfortunately, Biff bled out after a short gun fight with the big bad meany farmers, because he just had too much testosterone for the script.

The concept of harshness in a life and death scenario is about as convincing as bad word from the liberal princess when her latte is not hot enough. Oh, my latte is not as hot as it should be and you are just a very bad person. I kept hoping it would get better. It got worse.

Consult with a combat vet, police officer, of first responder the next time you write about a major catastrophic event. Ugh a complete waste of time.
