Alright, this is probably everyone’s least favorite, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. The story is good, the suspense is still fantastic, the climax will make you brown your jorts. It’s just that the Iron Tangle is extremely confusing. If you start reading this book in the hopes that you’ll know where Carl and Donut are at all times, you will struggle a bit. They’re in a train station, or on a train. That’s all that matters. Keep that in mind, and just enjoy the story. If you really want to get out a pen and paper to map out the Tangle, please send it to me lol.
Once I was able to stop caring about how the trains worked, this was classic Dungeon Crawler Carl as usual.
Also, Jeff Hays has ruined other narrators for me. The dude is a legend. I’ve heard rumors that he once beat Patrick Warburton in a Patrick Warburton impersonator contest.
