Y’all. Y’ALL. This book was a wild ride I both simultaneously never wanted to end and couldn’t put down. I’ve never wished so hard I could ignore life while I basked in the story like I did with Spark the Flames.

Ivy is known for her badass banter wielding FMCs but this time it feels like she took the banter and turned it up to like 300% and I’m totally here for it. Ever is a great FMC and I’m beyond excited to see where she goes in the next book.

Meanwhile, there is a whole cast of not-flat characters around her, including the MMC Aeson, his brother Lorn, and Aeson’s whole wing of protectors, who mostly all had specific personality traits. I think authors often try to focus the reader on the main characters vs introducing a long list of characters which confuses the reader but I like Ivy’s approach here, where we get a good number of three-dimensional supporting characters without feeling overwhelmed.

And who didn’t love the new angle on fated mates?! Cause I loved it—the intricacies! The drama!
