So the story’s the same but just different details. Our “heroes” are a little goofy at first but there really isn’t any stakes involved except for like 2 books. Then they become unstoppable and the interest just drops and you start looking more at the side characters instead. Best character was the elephant but that’s just how it goes with this series. The big lovable dorks like Kubu and Wesley and that one Stuunji carry the books sometimes. Unlike all the wizards in this series who are all either retarded or egomaniacas. I love the idea of how magic works here but after 4 collections I can confidently say these wizards SUCK, they’re all terrible even the more tolerant ones, and this book is no exception. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a relatively innocent character more than Eric. So much potential and yet so goddamn dumb. Who thought retarded time wizard was a good idea!? ok fine maybe more autistic but sometimes he feels retarded. Speaking of retarded, these goddamn couples are so pro gay. Like all the same sex relationships are happy, considerate or well off. Just sunshines and rainbows. While the straight relationships you got the Horny power couple, Caretaker and Child couple over here, Friends with little benefits over there, and finally a fuking furry relationship. But to be fair one of the same sex ones was also furry. This might seem like small thing to mention but it is mentioned with lots of details sometimes A LOT in this collection. This is a more slice of life than adventure book. If you want to just hear how the other book characters are doing after a time skip then yea get this book, even if some outcomes are worse than others. But if you’re thinking maybe this book will be better than the others then No don’t read this book, just stop and end series for yourself.
