Although this series is a deftly written compelling story with likable well-developed characters, the author’s own prejudices, fears and opinions bleed through. His pontificating narrative so loud as to yank the reader out of the story multiple times throughout the series. This author seems to have been triggered by both the MAGA playbook and the 1992 film The Crying Game.
