When I think of a fiction book, I think of one just like this, a life story in a way, but I liked the special way it was written, in letters.
I have lost several family members growing up. My brother passed at 38 and I have seen first hand that of a grieving mother and how that changed her. She would have loved this book. Because of that I give it a 4. It’s not a book I’ll think of long after but it did keep me interested and listening to finish it in less than a day.
I know people love this and I know my book club is going to rave about it. I liked it. It resonates with my heart bc of my own situation. Note: I’m anxious to know if the author actually has visited Texas. Because really, lots of hate for Texas when most Texans are actually very kind and open to all. Just seemed unnecessary.
