This series does a wonderful job of showing character development along with showing readers how trauma from fighting for your life and others, changes you. There’s tons of comedic relief, but definitely many heartbreaking moments. These later books do have a heavier tone than the first few, and I applaud Matt for writing the progression of realization for the characters. Jeff does an amazing job at narration.
