This book had really good parts, but there was a lot of stuff that was just them explaining and explaining and rationalizing and rationalizing and then they were other parts where they were just sitting around doing nothing my events transpired around them, such as when Naya goes to the afterlife . Also separating the after life, from the eitheial, from the normal realm kind of made it confusing and drawn out, and it was really hard to engrossed in the story as they keep moving from one dimension for a better word to another. and it just got really boring by the end. I just wanted the book to be over and I enjoyed all the rest of them.
Lastly the explanation of powers and how to advance them is just getting too convoluted. You’ve got Dows. You’ve got Waze. You’ve got aspects. You’ve got ideals. I mean come on pick one lane and stick to it. It was bad enough with skills as opposed to cultivation, but now you throw all this stuff in there it gets to the point where your brain just kind of skips over and says I don’t really care. Just put it as a new ability and quit calling it different things. I swear to God if they come up with one more concept like this, I’m just done with the series I can’t follow it. It’s just too convoluted make it simple.
