The last book in this series really dragged. I realized that it was mostly filler and I only pushed through just to get the closure. Everything could have been wrapped up in three books. There was no reason to stretch this out and it showed. I usually listen to books at 1.25 and I got this one at 1.7 and couldn’t wait to be done. And yeah they talked about fate earlier in the story but the paranormal tangent in the epilogue was completely unnecessary and out of place. I saw that there’s another book with a time jump but no thx.
