My wife and I listened to this together and both found it painful to get through. The premise sounded clever, but the execution felt flat, repetitive, and oddly predictable for a book that tries to be edgy. The characters were hard to care about and the humor rarely landed. We kept waiting for it to get better… it never really did. One of those rare books where finishing it felt more like a chore than entertainment.
