The best part: when I turned it off. I gave it until Chapter 9. The worst part: everything up until then. I cringed as it plodded from plot point to predictable plot point, and especially once the ultimate spaceship got under way. No one edited this, though it is possible the editor developed a drinking problem after trying. Anyone reading this: find another book. If you’re new to sci-fi, don’t let this ruin the genre for you.
