I can definitely see why people love this book—if this is your kind of story. Unfortunately, it just didn’t quite land for me. The style and storyline didn’t really click with my personal taste. That said, the writing is very unique, and it seems to work well for the genre. I also have to admit I don’t have much else in this genre to compare it to.
For me, the humor and over-the-top chaos didn’t land the way I expected. The premise is undeniably creative, and I can see how the blend of dark comedy, action, and game mechanics would appeal to a lot of readers. The pacing is quick and there’s almost always something happening, but I found it a little difficult to fully connect with the characters or become invested in the world.
Still, I can respect what the author set out to do. It’s imaginative, different, and clearly resonates with a lot of fans. If you enjoy LitRPG-westyle stories with absurd humor, nonstop action, and a wild premise, this will probably be right up your alley. It just wasn’t quite the right fit for me.
