Damn… that cliffhanger had my mouth gaping open. And not to even start on the narrators, they did an incredible job bringing the story to life. The male narrator was phenomenal, but the female narrator completely blew me away. The emotion she brought to every scene was unreal. She knew exactly where to place the intensity, the vulnerability, the tension… everything.
Her ability to switch between emotions so effortlessly made the entire story feel vivid and alive. One moment you feel the heartbreak, the next the anger or excitement, and it all flows so naturally that you get completely pulled into the story. She had me in absolute awe.
And my… my… The author clearly knew exactly what she was doing when she was creating this book. Everything was written so well and thoughtfully. I even caught myself constantly trying to figure out who the real mastermind behind the other gangs was, which just shows how invested and focused I was the entire time.
Overall, the listening experience was amazing. I had such a great time with this audiobook, and I am definitely purchasing the second book ASAP. Honestly, I’m running to get it right now.
