The main character is a bullish brute of a woman who is “sold” as being a genius which she is until she seizes power. Marooning her father and his troops in her own world by force like an evil pirate captain and every villain in an invasion story she proceeds to kill anyone who dares defy her culminating in executing a random refugee who didn’t do what “general” chipmunk wanted. She’s akin to the warlock villain from the first trilogy, masking murder under the guise of “the rebellion”. I got 28 hours in and couldn’t stand her anymore literally every other character is more tolerable and likable than she is.
