If you can make it through the first chapter from the character Sadie‘s point of view, then you can probably tolerate the book. I consider myself a protective mother, but this character was intolerable. Each time the character speaks, her over the top ridiculousness is just like the first chapter. It was painful to listen to, and I found myself thinking repeatedly. “ Enough already! We get it, the mom needs serious mental help.” I couldn’t make it past chapter 6.
