I found parts of the story a bit frustrating because some situations created anxiety that felt avoidable. For example, details like not ensuring the cupcakes were secure or a killer holding onto so much evidence for such a long time didn’t feel very believable. It seemed like several problems could have been prevented, which might have allowed the story to move more quickly into some of the stronger plotlines.
I also expected the main character to make smarter decisions since she was portrayed as very intelligent. At times her actions didn’t quite match that characterization.
On the positive side, I really liked the voice chosen for Cordelia. Unfortunately, some of the other voices were a bit grating for me, especially her best friend’s voice, and I often found myself adjusting the volume up and down while listening.
Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, but tightening the plot and refining a few character choices could have made the story even stronger.
