Macronomicon crafted a rather unique take on a progression fantasy genre. The magical mechanics were somewhat haphazard but not so much as to distract from the entertaining aspects of the plot and the characters. The HYPE sub-plot was a welcomed diversion to the MC’s bumbling means for advancing. The author also spend an ample amount of backstory to the primary and secondary characters. In all, there wasn’t a huge amount of progression for the primary characters which actually made the story more engaging.
I look forward to following the series.
All of the performers did a good job in narrating the characters but the Soundbooth Theater sound-effects only marginally had an effect on the story.
