The United States is the greatest nation in history. 250 years of existence has enough material to fill many volumes of accurate information.
This nation has been far from perfect, any objective observation of that history would need to need represent that.
Unfortunately, this account paints a picture that focuses on its blemishes to a much greater degree than its successes, achievements and grand visions.
This text misses the mark. One comes away understanding Mr. Meacham’s biases. Sadly, I came away with less respect for an author I have loved to read for decades.
