It’s rare that a writer gets so much right, so consistently. The story and characters in this story (and this specific book) are imaginative and engaging, while somehow still managing to feel real. The characters especially (from the main characters to the most fleeting side character) have a quality where the feel like real people. It makes the story all the more engaging and emotionally resonant.
NOW… pair all that wonderful writing with an unparalleled narrator that youre still certain HAS to secretly be three different people in a trench coat, and now you’ve got yourself a truly one of a kind experience.
10/10 must read.
