Clearly a skilled author if he could keep out the political drivel. Mort’s dialogues and actions are the only enjoyable part of this work.
The characters (and clearly author) draw moral lines in bizarre places.
Things that main characters find benign or healthy:
– 13 y/o sex with a 40? year old
– adultery, piracy, murder,
– teenage sex changes,
– 8 year old gender changes (there is a full episode dedicated completely to this)
– open marriages
Things that are vile and too far over moral lines for main characters to even consider
– putting on black face to emulate an esteemed black comedian.
– holding and wanting anything resembling a conservative value for children/grandchildren
