I liked a lot about the book but the family and situationship problems dragged on past the point of exhaustion. Especially Celine and Taylor’s “problem”- it was kind of a stupid issue.

But, it was an interesting storyline, different from anything I’ve listened to. I liked Ilarion’s character the best- he wasn’t a push over for Taylor and he understood everything clearly without feeding into or making more drama. Taylor and her family members were a bunch of gullible simps except for the dad- he was a liar and overprotective which was just him projecting. However, without them there would be no story so ha!

Performances were good. Not my favorite narrators but decent. The female narrator’s voice did start to grate on my nerves the longer it went on but I think I was also tired of listing to Taylor drone on about all her situations.

Is it worth a credit – maybe. It is included in the plus catalog right now so that made it easy to listen. I’ll have to purchase the second book to know the conclusion- but I have to take a break because the characters are on my last nerve lol.
