Saw people raving about this book on tiktok and also had a friend suggest it to me. It definitely kept my interest but I was slightly disappointed. The humor was very boy-ish (lots of jokes about foot fetishes, breasts,etc.). Just not my cup of tea. And maybe I’m crazy but I felt a very subtle inclination towards violence against women. Like you could tell the author has been slighted in the past and almost enjoyed writing scenes where it was his job to hurt them. This was super subtle and I could be completely wrong but it’s how it felt to me. All that being said I enjoyed it enough to finish it – though the ending was extremely anticlimactic and I was very caught off guard when I hit the epilogue. Thank god Donut was involved otherwise I would have DNF’d it a long time ago. Unsure if I’ll keep going in the series, but it was entertaining. Great narrator.
