This is a good book about a paratrooper who was captured during Operation Market Garden, and spent the rest of the war as a POW.
I think this is a good book. However, as others have pointed out, there are some historical discrepancies, particularly Himmler personally interrogating him. There are also some gaps and slightly big fish type moments.
Regardless, this is an overall good WWII account. Take the big fish type of stuff with a little grain of salt.
Gene served his country, was taken POW, and deserves respect and admiration for what he did. This books tells his story, and was an interesting read.
