I really do enjoy the author and the performer.. my one issue is that the main character who was an officer in the military, is so stupid about battle plans. The configuration of the defense or how and when he attacks. Very poorly thought out and anyone with half a brain can think of better strategies. It is a bit frustrating and it reduces the enjoyment of the book because of it. All that being said, I enjoy enough of the author’s prose to make it more enjoyable than frustrating. If you don’t love the author, this book probably wont be for you
