The story is great, just like most of the other books in the series, but the narrator is horrendous. The only reason I can probably keep listening to it is because it’s in the background while I work and because it’s just tolerable enough, it also helps that I already read the books.
David Stifel isn’t quite as bad as Roy Dotrice was for Game of Thrones, but hearing an overly geriatric Ray Romano overacting and trying to sound like people 1/4 his age is just annoying. To me, he would be fine for narrating nonfiction accounts of history, or autobiographies, but stuff like Awaken Online, nah.
