It had real promise, but it felt so drawn out & the plot was not as compelling as initially thought sadly for me I kept going back and forth from other books on my endless TBR pile to come back to this one it was just so not dark & definitely no real spice the whole slow burn trope was extremely slow! Honestly this FMC really got on my nerves the more into the so called plot of many things! She had backbone at the beginning, but once she got to his kingdom it’s like she is all wishy washy ughhh and the other minor characters some were more fleshed out here whereas others felt so wooden & 2 dimensional! Loved our MMC & definitely touch her you ☠️he felt more for her she was just whining & so eager to leave lack of communication etc so basically this rant of a review is that I am just so gutted that this was not as good as I originally hoped/expected it to be as read in this same genre!!!!
