I think this author has cemented themselves in my top 10 alltime favorite list with this Westbrook Elite series!! I have loved every single audiobook I have devoured so far, with such different MC personalities, tropes, storylines but they all work so well together, jumping off where the last started. This one was a doozy, it hit me in the feels harder than some of the others but the way things came together and people got their karmic justice was phenomenal. I didnt want this story to end.
I will be honest, I wasn’t sure I was gonna like this one with the male main character but he really surprised me. When you find out his backstory you feel so awful for him. He has been mistreated but everyone for something he didn’t do and it’s heart wrenching to see the guilt he has struggled with, his his last team and his supposed best friends treated him. Thank goodness he went to Westbrook because they know how to treat someone and be a family. I got so emotional when they defended him, when he finally got all the pieces and he 100% knew he didn’t do it. The love Landry and Jason grow into is amazing, hard fought, on another level, and soooooo steamy hahaha. From the first time they met to throughout their relationship, they couldn’t resist each other. His siren was not something he could avoid. His possessiveness and rough yummy sexy treatment (all consensual) was something Landry didn’t know she wanted or needed and he gave her the space to explore her kinks and that world. Loved it all!!
The cameos by our other favorites are what make this world so special. I really want some special editions of these for my shelf. I loved seeing the group really bring Rush into the fold, seeing all the couples back and Rush cementing his best friend status with Lars. I could go on and on with all the little good bits in here that elevated it. I would definitely still recommend you read/listen to this series in order, it really builds off each other and makes you fall for all these characters, even the Coach but we get to learn more about in this one since Landry is his daughter. I wonder if he will get his own book at some point…..😉
Narration was excellent as always!!! Lov Cecilly in pretty much everything she does. We could feel the frustration and fear Landry dealt with her back home situation, the love and loyalty for Jason, her sibling vibe with Jamie and Ryan. Haven’t heard of the male narrator before but he did a great job with Rush. The inner turmoil was palpable. His reactions were so spot on, his rendition did this characters justice.
Easily 5/5 stars, I wish I could have given it more!! Cannot for more audiobooks in this series to come out ❤️
