This book picks up right where book 1 stops but the festivities don’t last long.
There is a traitor and killer on the loose that needs to be hunt down.
But on top of that, an unforseen problem has emerged and it will take vows, loyalty and tears to overcome this obstacle.
And when the hunt for the traitor/killer is over, it appears a new hunter has arrived but who? And why?
Although things within the pack are shifting with all that has happened, they are a united pack that presents a unified front. That contrast between loyalty and turmoil is one of the things that make this book (or rather this series up till now) a great read of which I’m glad I have both the audiobook and the ebook version (The Boulder Wolves Trilogy, books 1-3).

I have to admit, it took me a long time to want to read/listen to book 2 eventhough I really love book 1.
I knew a detail about the direction this trilogy was going to go in and I didn’t want to “ruin” my perfect story (or rather, my view on what I thought would be the best version possible for this story) so I kept procrastinating and taking the end of book one as THE end. But considering I absolutely love The Lost Clan by Olivia and Of Wicked Blood which she and Katie Hayoz wrote together, curiousity got the better of me and I started this book at last.
And well, I should’ve just have faith I guess that the author really knows how to make it a classy story where the characters don’t loose their integrity or credibility. I really didn’t think I would love this book as much as I did. But I’m emotionally invested to the core now lol.

It’s an emotional but beautiful story, to me there are no plot holes or irritating parts were you want to yell at the main character (and oh my, I was so prepared to be yelling non stop lol).
And I love how the side characters really added to the storyline. And it was nice to see Ness being fully accepted after the events of book 1.

We readers are spoiled sometimes if we’re not afraid to give any book that sounds good a chance, don’t you think?
Even with this book for me, I had some prejudice that kept me from going on with this series. But now that I have, I absolutely love it and can’t wait to see or hear what comes next!
