I’m a fan of an overbearing MMC and all the stuff that goes with that but I have absolutely zero patience for Boe.
He does nothing for me. If he’d been some psychopath I’d probably understand him better but this is a supposed cozy good guy.
I think I’m exhausted by MMCs trying to control everything, even what she is allowed to wear. If he’s so insecure it’s on him, not her.
Perhaps he could just date an Amish girl then?
I kept hoping Boe would help her explore the world, but no. She’s not even allowed to take a dump without him.
Again, if this had been dark romance I probably like it but the point is that it isn’t dark. And that just makes the mmc a jerk.
