I really wanted to love You’re So Dead to Me—I was ready to commit to the series—but wow, the little things in this book would. not. stop. nagging me.
The MFC spends half her time worried people think she’s talking to herself… girl, put in an earbud or hold your phone like a normal person. Problem solved in 2 seconds. Instead, it just kept happening over and over.
Her reaction to her dad’s Parkinson’s? Confusing at best. She ghosts him, hangs up on him, complains he’s not around—after she literally left to travel the world—and then gets upset when he matches her energy? Make it make sense.
And the bullying? We’re adults now. Why are we still cowering like it’s high school and just… letting it happen?
I wanted to get into this series, but I cannot deal with characters this frustrating.
Also—and I cannot stress this enough—why does the Roman ghost sound like he just walked out of an Italian restaurant commercial? I was done.
