Overall 4 stars since nothing really happened in this book. I mean lots of things happened but no real progression for the MC was made that couldn’t have happened in the 1st chapter… That is to say the MC actually finally tested their abilities and thought about them for 5 min and so made progress. There was a plot twist but not a plot twist about the BBEG being a BBEG. That “twist” meant that if the MC stayed with the dwarves the entire book then less innocent/heroic/selfless people would have died. Sure, a couple villains wouldn’t have been redemeed. How is us knowing the character being saved increase the good it does compared to saving the lives of 100 heroes we don’t know? This needed an added 10 hours where the extra evil BBEG goes down for their actions. Now it’s just weird since the MC indirectly has a net negative impact on events. It would even have been better if the MC DIRECTLY made things worse since then she would actually have some agency.
