Having come off of a binge of the entire Dungeon Crawler Carl series while waiting for A Parade of Horribles…I dove head first into this book not knowing what to expect. I was not expecting to get as emotional about the main characters on their journey and the narrative did a great job of capturing the feeling of hope in a hopeless situation. I’d be interested in seeing more with these characters but it also stands as a great standalone project.
