I couldn’t finish the book, I got to chapter 13 and rage quit. The narrator does a good job but the story lacks substance, plot, or anything to keep a listeners attention. There are far too many in depth details on sensations, scenery, and inner monologue that it takes away from anything the story might be leading to. I seriously wanted to finish to book to give it a chance, but f*%# no. The first 13 chapters could’ve been shortened to just 2 chapters. 1. A fight to survive and gain a snazzy ability. 2.
