If you do not love Carl and Donut by now then you need to stop listening to the series. Carl becomes more of a father figure to Donut in this book now. And Donut starts to blossom more into her character. You also get to learn about Katia now, which is the start of a new friendship. I just love this series. And through each book the characters learn more about themselves in the dungeon.
