I don’t often write a review, but I feel compelled to on this one. This is one of the best novels I have read in quite some time. The device of telling the story of one’s life through correspondence was so perfectly executed. It really filled in the imperfect beauty of the character(s) and painted a rich complicated woman that I found myself relating to in so many ways. I went in knowing nothing about the book other than a lot of buzz and great reviews, but I wasn’t expecting for it to have such a profound effect on me. I highly recommend if you appreciate all that comes with understanding the full human experience. Great narration too.
