Not quite sure where to start with this review. Started this book and almost bailed out because it was slow, but I hung in there and finished the entire bundle. I’m an avid apocalypse sci-fi fan, and overall, I like the story. Got sucked into the characters and enjoyed the journey the clans made. Some of it seemed incongruous because it was hard to believe that, after centuries of the initial world devastation, buildings would still be standing. I’ve watched the TV series “A World Without People” and know how quickly infrastructure will degrade and crumble. I was also thrown by the author using the term ”carts’ and then later referring to the carts as ‘cars’. There were inconsistencies with several aspects of these stories that made me stop and wonder WTH? However, I DID enjoy this series as a whole because I was so invested in the characters and needed to know what was going to happen next. If you keep in mind that this is sci-fi, the little idiosyncrasies are not so bothersome, and I believe you will enjoy it as well.
