This is how you start a series… This right here. Ahhhhhhhhhh, I wanna scream. Being back in Lark’s universe ( I started with Finlay, ofc I did – insert eye roll here ) felt like coming home.
Even tho I met these characters for a brief moment in “The Wild Edges” I knew I would absolutely LOVE them once I got to their stories. Also, the funny thing is that the first book I added to my tbr wasn’t even Finlay, it was Luck of the Devil. Oh, I wanna talk about Dimitri showing up for his man so bad, but that’s not why we are here… this is already all over the place.
Now, going back to Cal and Oscar… oh, wow. Fated mates is my fav trope of all time so loving these two wasn’t even that hard. I am obsessed with them, I am obsessed with the way they love each other, I am obsessed with the way they are there for one another unconditionally. Who would’ve thought a relationship between a human and a demon, a Prince of Hell at that, can be this healthy? Me. The answer is ME because I’m not a judgemental a*s.
I also loved the found family in this book. Lord have mercy of my soul I LOVE all these 4 Princes of Hell. They are… well, I don’t have the proper words to describe them tbh, they are EVERYTHING.
Also, Harlow? I want a Harlow bestie now… where can I find one? His brand of cray cray would match mine perfectly.
The plot was interesting, and the visit to Hell was insightful. I know we will go back one day and I am here for it.
The “Lucifer” references in this book cracked me up. The obsession our boy Oscar had with that show was hilarious, especially knowing Luci is his father is law 🤣. That was epic. I wonder… does he still watch the show? That would be AWESOME.
I can’t wait to see what Miss Lark has in store for us in the next books, and, well… so it begins my newest obsession.
You won’t hear me complain.

P.S. If you are a fan of audiobooks I highly, highly recommend listening to this one. Joel Leslie and Dan Calley did a superb job in bringing these characters to life but… keep in mind they’re talking with Brit accents so… if that’s not your cup of tea then you’ve been warned. I actually love it and this made the experience 100x better for me.

Ok, bye. I’m gonna go listen to book 2 now. Harlow, baby, here I come.
