I like the book overall. Like all books in this genre it requires a suspension of reality. It goes to far in two areas ..I listened to the whole series in a row at the same time. Once I got through the first two books I liked it better. it dives into relationships etc. I was a medic, was in the Air Force and a professional horseman. So the medical errors were very jarring ( basic stuff like basic first aid, ) secondly, the foot issue with the horse..it wasn’t laminitis ,wasnt a broken leg and virtually stopped listening. more than likely stone bruise or abcess. and it goes sideways
