The book itself is well written and Soundbooth once again delivers, but the entire novel was a slog. At nearly three hours in the guy is still in the tutorial process and there are literal paragraphs if not pages of describing all manner of minutia about crafting costs and tools required and looting coppers. At one point it stopped being about experiencing being inside an mmo and it devolved into someone dictating every act and scrap of useless text for their blind friend. I found myself zoning out more than once and after finishing the novel I can only give you the name of maybe three characters because I just kept losing interest.
