I have personally enjoyed the books. They are a fun read. However, I was nearly fished with book 5 when Dinniman posted this on social media regarding the Critical Drinker’s role in one of his books. This occurred after Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door acquired the rights to develop a live-action TV adaptation of the series.

“I regret that my books have any association whatsoever with him. I hope one day to have his part in book three removed all together. It’s a distraction, and the only edgelord douchebag I want people to think of when they read my books is the AI itself.”

Will Jordan (the Critical Drinker) responded by stating, “Lol, that’s interesting since he was VERY excited to work with me and claimed to be a big fan when it benefitted him. Now that he’s trying to break into TV, suddenly he’s filled with “regret”. Good luck sucking all that Hollywood d*ck, buddy. Hope it’s worth it.”

Dinniman’s words become even more grotesque when it is understood how supportive the Drinker was of Dinniman and his work early on.

Look, the Dungeon Crawler Carl series is decent, but I cannot support this kind of cowardice from Dinniman. The Drinker provides brutally honest reviews. He is a voice for individuals such as myself who are sick and tired of the Hollywood BS. All I can say is good luck, Dinniman, I hope it was worth it.
