Possibly the most emotional book in the series so far?

First, I think Matt Dinniman has done a phenomenal job with world building, character development, and balancing action with build up and calm down. He has a magical way of getting me to respond to the seriousness of the situation while still accepting all of the absurdity involved.

Second, Jeff Hays brings the characters and events to life in a way that makes me honestly nervous that the TV series can’t compete with his brilliance.

I’ve spent an unthinkable percentage of my income on this series, and I still feel like it’s worth it.
