It’s strictly just my opinion, but these books…were not very good. I’ve read more LitRPG books than I can count, and out of all of them, few are as rough as this. For starters, no one in the history of anyone, has wanted to hear the same character sheet 45 times per chapter, especially when absolutely NOTHING has changed on it in the 15min it’s been since the last time it was read aloud…If the MC picks up 50 gold pieces, just say that, not repeat his entire sheet for the 327th time, just to add at the end “…and 50 gold pieces”. I got this trilogy thinking it was a good deal on sale, for $ to time listened, but when 50% of it is just “Player Name: Gary Burns, Character Name: Gary Burns, etc…”. Also, the characters were poorly developed and often times their development made. One minute the MC is totally fine with assassinating innocent people just bc he owes them money, but then is totally against killing a bunch of monsters there to kill him bc they are in prison. I mean…come on, I would go into more details, but it would likely have worse spoilers. I hate that I disliked this story so much, but it is what it is I suppose.
