My wife recommended the first book to me. By the start of the second chapter I was hooked. Now by the end of the second book, I am enthralled. It usually takes me about a month to finish an audiobook, I am now on book 3 of this series in just a week. The voice acting by the reader is nothing short of a perfection. The writing, character development, plot, intrigue, comic relief, and twists make this an absolute masterpiece. Bringing in a TTRPG system to a book can definitely be tricky, especially with the chaos caused by the players in most groups. Somehow this writer captures it perfectly, but also balances it in a way that can be understood by people who have never heard of D&D.

Already looking to try and make this into a D&D setting for my group but may have to make some creative changes or find a different system.

Overall I cannot recommend this series enough. I cannot wait to dive deeper into this series.
