I still hate that these chapters aren’t spoken with a numerical pause. I listen to audiobooks pretty much all day, everyday. And when I am falling asleep to a book, not having clear, precise & distinct chapter breaks makes it extremely hard to bookmark to pick up where I fell asleep at! 1st world problems I suppose.
But, I absolutely LOVE that the outro was done in with the voice of Dolos, the supposed God’s of Ludus! Jeff Hays rarely disappoints & this choice was EPIC!!!
This book didn’t feel as action packed as previous books, but it was still a great addition to the overall plot. And the guys incorporated so great Earthly inventions into their new home.
They are also adjusting to marriage and coming around to being outpopulated by women & all that that entails in the new society they now inhabit fairly well.
Everyone is trying to come to terms with their new roles: the young jaguar Prince is attempting to gain more power & experience, Tony is doing his best at being a king, Maureen is tamping down on the darkness or at the very least trying to use it to her ability, Nora is bathing in the knowledge that she picked the right boy/man after all & is taking on the role of becoming a queen, the men are adapting to the colossal growth in their powers and last but definitely not least Tasty coming back into the story even if for a minor cameo.
Then we have loved ones returning from supposed death, maybe!!
And not to mention the war to end all wars is upon us, maybe.
Nothing is guaranteed! Everything is up for grabs! And time is running out!
The plot is thickening!!!
Immediately onto the last…
