Oh I am just so emotional after reading Frozen by Stardust! There were so many emotional rollercoasters amongst the sweetest romance and epic battles! I read this in one session, from 7:20am until 6pm and the adrenaline is still pumping as I don’t know what to do with myself. I loved reading this, and I dread the wait for Stolen by Shadows 😭
All I can say is READ BEASTS OF THE BRIAR!!! more detailed review once I do a reread because I’m just in shock and my brain has paused 🤣
Thank you Elizabeth and Helen for my eARC!
2nd read: Okay. Even after my second read of Frozen by Stardust, I am in shock and awe of what this talented author duo have managed to create and write. I am so familiar with the Enchanted Vale, I have read these books over and over and could almost recite them in my sleep, but Frozen took Rosie and the princes on journeys I could not have predicted!
I loved exploring the winter realm, Rosie and the princes travelling to new locations and meeting new characters while also having time to bond with one another and have the cutest moments, the funniest moments, and a few spicy ones too 🤭😍. No one can do romance like Elizabeth Helen and I just want to scream because how do I express the love and care that these six have for one another?!! I’m literally tearing up writing this review as I recall different character interactions because the love just hits me so hard!
But this book isn’t just about the romance. I am always telling people that this series isn’t “just romantasy,” it is an epic fantasy full of insane worldbuilding – histories that have formed the Enchanted Vale to be what it has become, huge realms that are full of life and places to explore, and so many details that form a larger picture of a unique world. There is war, with both new and old villains who are determined to kill Rosie, the princes and the citizens of the Enchanted Vale. We have conflicts that have built across the five books, and relationships with antagonists that evolve and shift between anger, care, and so many different emotions.
The first four books in the Beasts of the Briar series were all six star reads for me, but Frozen by Stardust is somehow even better. This is a seven star read, the best book I have ever read.
Anyways, I think I need to read this for a third time ASAP, I’m still not emotionally recovered and idk how to feel better except by rereading…
